Gary T. Meadors, a native of Connersville, Indiana, served in the Navy as a Radioman on a destroyer based in Norfolk, Virginia. Gary met his wife-to-be, Gloria (North Carolina), while in college. Although Gary’s primary career has been teaching, the Meadors’ have worked in home missions as well as the pastorate.
After his military duty, Dr. Meadors earned the Bachelor of Theology degree from Piedmont Baptist College (North Carolina), the Master of Divinity, Master of Theology and Doctor of Theology degrees from Grace Theological Seminary (Indiana).
Meadors served as a Professor of Greek and New Testament at Piedmont Baptist College (1979-83), Grace Theological Seminary (1983-93), Baptist Bible Seminary of Pennsylvania (1993-95), and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary (1995-Present). Gary has also served in a number of administrative capacities during his academic career.
Dr. Meadors has authored a number of articles and book reviews in theological journals. He contributed a dozen articles to the Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology (Baker); edited a volume of articles on New Testament Studies in honor of Homer A. Kent, Jr. (BMH Books), and published Decision Making God’s Way: A New Model for Knowing God’s Will (Baker). His current research interests include hermeneutics and the nature of biblical application, and themes in Pauline theology.

Gary and Gloria currently make their home in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Gary enjoys a hobby in bluegrass music, playing the five-string banjo.
