We are delighted that you have decided to apply to Grand Rapids Theological Seminary! GRTS admits qualified persons without regard to denomination or association, race, national or ethnic origin, age, gender or physical ability.

Admission Requirements 

For us to consider your application, you must:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited undergraduate institution. (The degree does not need to be in Bible, theology, ministry, etc.).
  • Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative undergraduate GPA.
  • Affirm section one of the Cornerstone Confession.
  •   

Application Procedure 

STEP ONE: Apply for free online below or submit a hard copy application by mail.

STEP TWO: Request that official transcripts from any undergraduate or graduate institutions you have attended be mailed to:

 Non-degree and guest applicants only need to request transcripts if they are taking courses for credit. Readmit applicants do not need to request transcripts. 

STEP THREE: Notify personal and ministry references that GRTS Admissions will be e-mailing them a link to the following electronic reference forms:

Application Deadlines: 

GRTS implements a rolling admissions process for all master’s degree programs. We accept applications until the start of each semester, but we encourage enrollment 3-6 months prior to desired start term. You may enter a program during the start of any academic term: fall (September), spring (January) or summer (May and June).

  • Fall 2012 applications are due August 24th, 2012 
  • Spring 2013 applications are due January 17th, 2013
