Applying for Financial Aid

GRTS provides financial aid to seminary students on both a need and merit basis. For the 2008-2009 school year, 73% of students who applied for a scholarship or grant received a scholarship or grant.

Students seeking consideration for scholarships and/or grants must complete: 

  1. Seminary Scholarship Application 
  2. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Student Financial Services

 

Eligibility

To be considered for institutional and external scholarships and grants, new students must be fully accepted for admission to GRTS. Returning students must be in good academic standing. Both New and Returning Students must complete the following requirements:

  1. Submit the Scholarship Application and FAFSA by the priority date
  2. Enroll in a minimum of 5 credit hours per semester
  3. Scholarship recipients must attend the Legacy Luncheon and write a letter to the scholarship donor.

Important Financial Aid Dates

Priority due dates for completing the Financial Aid forms

  • Students beginning FALL 2009: March 31, 2009**
  • Students beginning SPRING 2010: November 1, 2009

**New students may submit financial aid applications anytime before the start of the semester. Returning students must have their applications in by March 31 in order to be considered for financial aid.

Scholarship and grant recipients will be notified by May 15 for the fall and December 15 for the spring. Maximum financial aid is available when application is submitted by the above priority due date.
