Applying for Financial Aid

  1. Complete either a paper or electronic Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Make sure you list Cornerstone University (Title IV Code "002266") in step 6.
  2. Within four weeks you will receive your Student Aid Report (SAR).  Review all of the information.  If all of the information is correct, keep the SAR for your records.  If there is any incorrect information, make corrections on Part 2.  Be sure to sign at the end of Part 2.  Note: You should only make corrections.  Do not update any information. If you make corrections on Part 2, send the entire SAR directly to the Student Financial Services office at Cornerstone University. They will make the revisions electronically and send you an Information Acknowledgment as a result of these revisions.
  3. Complete and promptly return a Grand Rapids Theological Seminary Scholarship Application.
  4. Provide any other information requested by our office (e.g., completed tax returns, schedules, etc.).  Your immediate response is necessary to avoid delays in processing.
