GRTS President, Dr. Doug Fagerstrom, established the Global Learning Center (GLC) in 2004 through a gift by a single donor. President Fagerstrom and the anonymous donor wanted to see the Center provide an innovative, theologically sound approach to missions in the 21st Century. President Fagerstrom invited Dr. David Livermore to serve as the Center's first Executive Director.
The Global Learning Center's primary way of serving the worldwide Church is by providing training, consulting, and resources that serve the missional work of others. We're committed to doing this in a way that is accessible (cost, location, contextualized, practitioner-oriented), research-based, and theologically-informed.
While our primary way of engaging in worldwide mission is in preparing and resourcing missional leaders, GLC is also involved in some hands-on cross-cultural ministry of it's own--GATE.
