Center for Christian Worldview

Introduction to the Center:

  • Who am I and why am I here?
  • What is God’s plan for me and my planet?
  • How can I use the Bible to evaluate every aspect of my existence?

These foundational questions only find answers within the cosmic perspective of the Christian worldview. The Biblical Worldview Center at GRTS exists to foster the development of this worldview, teaching Christians its basic structure and then encouraging them to apply its insights to their particular place in life.

Biblical Worldview Center Goals:

1. Encourage believers to flourish as they find God’s intended meaning in their ordinary lives.

Following the biblical story of creation, fall, and redemption, we aim to correct the common misconception that Christianity turns its members into apprentice angels. Jesus Christ did not come to earth to turn us into angelic wannabes, content to meditate on spiritual realities until we return to our eternal home in heaven. Instead, Jesus Christ—who is 100% human and 0% angel—died and rose again so that we might prosper down here, in every corner of our human, earthly existence. The gospel is larger, and far earthier, than we ever imagined.

2. Develop the theological competency of existing and future ministry leaders.

The Biblical Worldview Center uses a diverse assortment of events, forums, and resources to initiate thoughtful conversations about difficult and divisive ethical questions, framing each discussion by the grid of creation, fall, and redemption.

3. Inspire gifted young people to consider a life of vocational ministry.

Though Christian worldview affirms that all vocations are equal before God, yet there remains a privileged place for those in professional ministry. We desire that many of our most promising young people will devote their lives to leading and nurturing the body of Christ.

4. Empower Christians to dialogue with competing worldviews in order to communicate the beauty of their worldview with family and friends.

For too long we have reduced the gospel to fire insurance—say this prayer and you won’t go to hell when you die. But once we understand the cosmic scope of the gospel, that Christ enables us to flourish in every facet of our lives, we now have a compelling message that we will eagerly want to share with others.
